Last Saturday on the 10th of October was 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗗𝗮𝘆 so I thought, let’s keep the discussions flowing.
Let’s reduce the stigma.
Let’s share our experiences, the good and the bad.
Let’s share so people struggling know they’re not alone.
Let’s share so people who don’t experience it can get a better understanding.
I personally have had some pretty dark times with my anxiety. It changed who I was for a large part of my life. I’ve lost count of the times anxiety won the battle and stopped me from doing things. For so long it convinced me, I wasn’t worthy and it was better just to sit in the back and blend in.
But there have also been some really positive things that have come from it. Yes, you read that right. It has shaped me into who I am today. It’s made me more self-aware and it’s given me an inner strength I doubt I would have found. It’s lead me to discover how important exercise and nutrition can be for our mental health.
I understand it can be hard to open up and talk about our mental health but if there is something you’re willing to share, please, by all means comment below.
Let's keep the conversation flowing.
